Hickenlooper Welcomes Endorsement from Cobalt, Major Colorado Abortion Rights Advocates

COLORADO – Today, U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper announced that Cobalt, one of Colorado’s leading abortion rights organizations, endorsed his reelection campaign.

“This corrupt administration has consistently discounted science, attacked abortion rights, and undermined access to reproductive healthcare,” said Hickenlooper. “We can’t let this White House and their MAGA Congress continue to whittle away women’s rights. We’re fighting alongside Cobalt to defend Coloradans’ abortion rights and stop this White House from dragging us backward.”

“We’re proud to endorse John Hickenlooper because he refuses to back down as Trump and Republicans have targeted our freedoms,’ said Cobalt President Karen Middleton. “In Congress, John has pushed back against the Trump administration’s attacks on mifepristone and is fighting to overturn Dobbs to protect abortion rights nationwide.”

Cobalt is a grassroots, statewide Colorado organization that advances abortion access and reproductive rights.

Cobalt joins major labor organizations, leading Colorado voices, and national progressive groups you have backed Hickenlooper’s reelection effort. Hickenlooper is supported by the National Education Association (NEA), Pipefitters Local 208, the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Association (CPFF), SMART Sheet Metal Workers Local 9, AFSCME, Western States Carpenters, Reproductive Freedom for All, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, NRDC Action, Brady PAC, GIFFORDS PAC, End Citizens United and Let America Vote, League of Conservation Voters Action Fund and Conservation Colorado, and 314 Action.
